Responsibilities:

Assist students in boarding and exiting the school bus, ensuring a safe and orderly process.

Ensure that students are seated and wearing seat belts during transit.

Communicate and collaborate with the bus driver to address any issues and maintain a calm atmosphere.

Assist students with special needs, as required.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is clean and secure.

Report any incidents, accidents, or behavioral concerns to appropriate school staff.

Maintain a positive and respectful rapport with students, parents, and school staff.

Uphold and enforce safety protocols and procedures on the bus.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is preferred.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine concern for the well-being of students.

Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

Physical ability to assist students with boarding and exiting the bus.

Knowledge of safety regulations related to school bus transportation.

Successful completion of required training and background checks.
