Role and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the logistics and transportation of goods, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and freight carriers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and freight forwarding services, negotiating rates and terms to optimize costs and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipping manifests, and delivery schedules using inventory management systems and software.
Monitor and track shipments in transit, proactively identifying and addressing any delays, issues, or discrepancies to minimize disruptions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to optimize inventory levels, storage capacity, and order fulfillment processes, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards, coordinating the preparation of shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures as needed.
Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency enhancements.
Provide timely and accurate communication to internal stakeholders and customers regarding shipment status, delays, and any other relevant logistics-related information.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g, CLTD, CSCP) are a plus.
Proven experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.
Strong understanding of logistics principles, freight forwarding procedures, and transportation modes (air, ocean, road, rail).
Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including inventory management, warehouse management, and transportation management systems (TMS).
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose actionable solutions.
