Position Summary:
We are a small team of engineers building mobile applications for almost 50 million customers who shop at Sam´s Club stores every week. We are looking for product focused mobile engineers who share our passion to build high quality products and ship fast.
Position Description
There are very few places, if any, where you can bridge physical and digital experiences for tens of millions of users. Our team builds mobile applications that empower customers in over 600 Sam´s Club stores. We are a data-driven team and we constantly improve our products based on user data and feedback. Moreover, we experiment with new features and technologies and scale successful products rapidly.
We are results focused and expect our engineers to be involved in all parts of the product development from product requirements and design to implementation and quality assurance. We follow and adapt new technologies and our work includes challenges in the areas of security, geo-location, payments, scalability and architecture.
We are looking to grow our team with native Android and iOS developers, and cross-platform mobile experts who are passionate and are looking to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate up to date expertise in Agile Software Engineering practices and Computer Science and apply it to development of cutting edge mobile applications.
- Participate as an individual contributor in the design and implementation of features and modules in iOS native applications and platforms.
- Show full accountability and ownership of code and user experience quality.
- Optimize and refactor of existing code base as needed to ensure that our customers don’t experience any production issues while using our apps.
- Provide technical leadership to contribute to technical decisions.
- Represent engineering team in technical and architectural discussions with other engineering teams.
- Contribute to improvements in our engineering process.
- Independently execute smaller projects/initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BE degree in Computer Science or related field. (If you do not meet this requirement but meet all the others, please reach out)
- experience with implementing and managing the full SDLC for at least 1 mobile app.
- Excellent skills in Kotlin/Java (Android)
- Excellent knowledge of the iOS or Android platform and the associated tool chain.
- experience of shipping one or more iOS or Android applications.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
- experience with unit testing, UI testing and test automation.
- Expertise in designing and architecting mobile apps.
- Proficiency in design patterns enabling TDD.
- Proficiency in CI/CD for mobile.
- Ability and drive to learn and apply new technologies.
- Awareness of React native app development.
- Awareness of Hybrid App development and integration.
- Preferably 3 to 6 years of experience in building mobile apps.
