We are looking for a reliable and efficient Cashier to manage all customer transactions accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in customer service or retail, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to handle transactions with a focus on accuracy and speed.
Responsibilities
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, resolving transaction- related issues, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other transactions promptly.
Balance cash drawers at the start and end of shifts, ensuring all funds are accounted for and discrepancies are reported.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
Restock and organize checkout counter supplies as necessary.
Adhere to all cash handling and customer service policies.
Collaborate with store staff to address customer needs and maintain a positive store environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
Proficient in handling cash and using point- of- sale (POS) systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work infast- paced environment.
Good mathematical and problem- solving skills.
Integrity and the ability to handle transactions with confidentiality and accuracy.
Working Conditions
Must be willing to work in a retail environment, which may require standing for long periods.
