We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cargo Loader. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo efficiently and safely, ensuring that all items are handled with care and that proper procedures are followed.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload cargo from trucks, ships, or aircraft using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Ensure all cargo is securely packed and properly stored to prevent damage during transportation.
Verify and check cargo against shipping documents for accuracy.
Operate forklifts, pallet Jacks, and other loading equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized loading area.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in the inventory management and tracking of cargo.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate loading activities.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a cargo handling or warehouse environment is preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment (certification is a plus).
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cargo.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Basic understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
