We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Supervisor to join our team at the hypermarket. The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, coordinating inventory counts, and ensuring accurate stock levels to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a background in inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate inventory activities, including receiving, storing, and counting merchandise.
Ensure accuracy in inventory records and maintain proper documentation of inventory transactions.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify potential issues.
Coordinate with department managers and vendors to manage stock levels and replenish inventory as needed.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize inventory management processes.
Train and supervise inventory clerks and associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify slow-moving or obsolete items for disposal or markdowns.
Analyze inventory data and trends to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
Collaborate with other departments, including purchasing and sales, to coordinate inventory-related activities and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role required.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
