Cash Management: They oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing cash registers, counting cash drawers at the start and end of shifts, and ensuring that proper procedures are followed for cash transactions.
Training and Development: Head cashiers may train new cashiers on operating cash registers, processing transactions, and following cash handling procedures. They also provide ongoing coaching and support to their team members to ensure high performance.
Customer Service: They assist customers with inquiries, refunds, exchanges, and other transactions as needed. They also handle any customer complaints or issues that arise during their shift.
