Supermarket Cashier Vacancy in Dubai

Responsibilities:

Greet customers entering the supermarket and assist them with their shopping needs.

Scan and process items at checkout using a POS system.

Ensure accurate pricing of products and apply discounts or promotions as needed.

Accept payments in cash, credit, or other forms and provide accurate change.

Maintain a tidy and organized checkout area and ensure sufficient stock of bags and receipts.

Resolve customer complaints or issues in a polite and professional manner.

Answer customer inquiries about products, prices, and promotions.

Collaborate with other supermarket staff to ensure smooth operations.

Follow all cash handling and security procedures to prevent theft and maintain safety.

Uphold high standards of customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role, preferably in a supermarket setting.

Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
