Responsibilities:
Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats.
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, and fryers.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
Stock and rotate ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
