Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of work areas, equipment, and processes to identify potential safety hazards and risks.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Provide safety training and orientation to new employees, contractors, and visitors, and conduct refresher training sessions as needed.
Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics, such as injury rates and near-miss reports, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in the maintenance of safety equipment and emergency response systems, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Collaborate with other departments, including operations, maintenance, and Human Resources , to address safety concerns and implement corrective measures.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting.
Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
