Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing lesson plans and educational activities.

Support students learning and development by providing individualized attention and assistance.

Assist with classroom management, including maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive classroom community.

Assist with grading assignments, providing feedback to students, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Support students with special needs or learning challenges, following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations as needed.

Assist with classroom preparation, including setting up materials and resources for lessons and activities.

Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and outdoor playtime.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns or issues.

Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Education or related field preferred.

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.

Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and take direction from lead teachers and administrators.

Knowledge of educational principles, child development, and classroom management techniques.

CPR and First Aid certification (may be required, depending on school policies).
