Responsibilities:

Assist kitchen staff in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients for dishes.

Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations according to established hygiene and safety standards.

Wash, peel, and slice fruits and vegetables for use in salads, garnishes, and other culinary creations.

Organize and stock kitchen inventory, including dry goods, spices, condiments, and cooking oils, ensuring adequate supply levels for daily operations.

Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, checking for quality and freshness, and properly rotating stock to minimize waste.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, and wiping down surfaces.

Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines provided by chefs and kitchen supervisors to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.

Collaborate with kitchen team members to expedite orders, plate dishes, and coordinate meal service during peak hours.

Adhere to food safety regulations, temperature control guidelines, and sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses.

Assist with special projects, catering events, and other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, culinary school education, or relevant food service experience is preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from chefs, cooks, and kitchen supervisors.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality, with a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving kitchen procedures and standards.

Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to take on various kitchen responsibilities to support the team.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurants operating hours and business demands.
