This role serves as the first point of contact for our guests/customers and plays a crucial part in ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests/customers in a warm and welcoming manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments, verifying identification, and issuing room keys/visitor badges.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously, resolving issues and escalating complex matters to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including arranging materials, brochures, and promotional displays.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest rooms, facilities, and amenities are well-maintained and ready for use.
Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and transactions using computerized systems or manual logs.
Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and sorting mail, as needed.
Adhere to security and safety protocols, including monitoring access to restricted areas and following emergency procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk agent, or customer service representative preferred but not required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and management.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and reservation software; experience with property management systems (PMS) is an asset.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a positive and proactive attitude.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
