Job Title: Real Estate Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate accounting for our real estate operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting activities for real estate transactions.

Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple properties.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for real estate projects.

Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Track and reconcile property expenses, including utilities, taxes, and maintenance costs.

Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for real estate portfolios.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

Provide financial insights to support decision-making for real estate investments.

Stay updated on industry trends and changes in real estate accounting regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience as a Real Estate Accountant.

Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Familiarity with real estate management software is an advantage.
