We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Procurement Assistant. In this role, you will support our procurement team in managing the purchasing process and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including issuing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and negotiating prices with suppliers.
Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and source competitive bids for goods and services.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather procurement requirements and specifications.
Maintaining accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with inventory management tasks.
Assisting with supplier relationship management and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
Supporting the procurement team in implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software/tools.
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices is desirable.
