About Us:

Our team of dedicated professionals ensures that students arrive at school and return home safely each day. We are currently seeking experienced and responsible individuals to join our team as School Bus Drivers.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes, following predetermined schedules and stopping at designated locations to pick up and drop off students.

Ensure the safety and well-being of students while they are on the bus, enforcing safety rules and maintaining order and discipline as needed.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to check for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors to address concerns, report incidents, and coordinate transportation logistics.

Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving and adhere to established procedures in the event of accidents or emergencies.

Maintain accurate records of daily mileage, fuel consumption, passenger counts, and incidents, and submit reports to transportation management as required.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance driving skills, safety awareness, and knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.

Keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and well-maintained, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces.

Assist students with disabilities or special needs in boarding and exiting the bus, securing mobility devices, and ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.

Represent the school district/transportation company in a professional and courteous manner, fostering positive relationships with students, families, and the community.

Requirements:

Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements.

Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.

Minimum of 1 years of experience as a school bus driver or commercial driver preferred.

Completion of required training and certification programs for school bus drivers, including first aid and CPR certification.

Excellent driving skills, situational awareness, and defensive driving techniques.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students of all ages, parents, and school staff.

Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations and ensure the safety and well-being of passengers at all times.

Commitment to following safety protocols, regulations, and company policies related to student transportation.

Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings and afternoons, and occasional extracurricular or field trip assignments.

Physical ability to perform job duties, including sitting for extended periods, operating vehicle controls, and assisting students as needed.
