We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Head Cashier. The Head Cashier will oversee the cash handling operations, supervise cashier staff, and ensure excellent customer service at the checkout counters. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the cash registers and checkout areas.
Supervise and train cashier staff on proper cash handling procedures, customer service standards, and store policies.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to cashier staff and monitor their performance and productivity.
Ensure cashiers are accurately processing transactions, handling returns, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
Balance cash drawers and reconcile receipts at the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations effectively and escalate issues to management as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout counters and surrounding areas.
Monitor inventory levels of cash, coins, and other payment instruments and request replenishment as needed.
Collaborate with the store management team to implement process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar retail position, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role preferred.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic math skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail management is a plus.
