Roles and Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

Receive and inspect incoming materials or products.

Record and document all incoming and outgoing items.

Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized or manual systems.

Organization and Storage:

Properly store items to maximize space utilization and ensure easy access.

Implement and maintain an organized system for easy retrieval of goods.

Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Issuing and Dispatching:

Prepare and package items for shipment or delivery.

Ensure timely and accurate issuance of items to internal departments or external customers.

Coordinate with other departments to fulfill material requests.

Quality Control:

Monitor and report any damaged or defective items.

Conduct quality checks to ensure that products meet the required standards.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.

Provide information on inventory levels and availability as needed.

Safety and compliance:

Adhere to safety and security protocols for handling materials.

Comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

Equipment Maintenance:

Operate and maintain storage equipment, such as forklifts or pallet Jacks.

Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and other relevant metrics.

Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory management processes.
