We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our library team as an Assistant Librarian. The Assistant Librarian will support various library operations, assist patrons, and contribute to maintaining an organized and welcoming library environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist patrons in locating books, resources, and information, providing excellent customer service.
Perform circulation duties, including checking books in and out, issuing library cards, and managing overdue materials.
Help organize and maintain library collections, shelving books, and ensuring proper categorization.
Conduct basic cataloging and data entry tasks using library software and systems.
Assist in developing and implementing library programs, events, and workshops for patrons.
Answer inquiries in person, via phone, or email, providing information about library services and resources.
Assist with interlibrary loans, resource sharing, and other library administrative tasks.
Help maintain a clean, orderly, and inviting library space.
