We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Computer Operator to oversee our computer systems and ensure their smooth operation. The Computer Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling computer systems, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and operate computer systems, including mainframes, servers, and peripheral equipment.
Execute and oversee batch processing and job scheduling tasks.
Maintain and update system logs, records, and reports of operational tasks.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups, system upgrades, and software installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with IT staff and vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
Ensure adherence to security protocols and data backup procedures.
Provide technical support to end-users and assist in resolving system-related queries.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar role.
Knowledge of computer systems operations, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
Familiarity with operating systems and various software applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and protocols accurately.
