We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Logistics Procurement Officer to manage our procurement operations related to logistics and supply chain. The role will involve sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the acquisition of goods and services required for our logistical needs.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company\'s logistical requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.
Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and relationships with vendors.
Source and procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for logistics and supply chain operations.
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control procedures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and ethical practices.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, logistics, and supply chain processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous.
