Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and assembling ingredients as per recipes and chef instructions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and keeping kitchen equipment clean and orderly.
Support chefs and cooks in food cooking and plating, ensuring adherence to portion sizes and presentation standards.
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure food quality and sanitation standards are met.
Receive deliveries, check and store food supplies properly, ensuring proper rotation of perishable items.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely execution of orders and smooth service during busy periods.
Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced kitchen staff.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment or culinary training is a plus, but not mandatory. Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced kitchen is essential.
