We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our educational team and support our classroom teachers in creating a positive learning environment for students. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping with administrative tasks. Your passion for education, patience, and strong communication skills will contribute to the overall success of our school.
Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers in preparing and organizing teaching materials and resources.
Support students in both group and one-on-one settings with assignments and activities.
Help students with special needs by providing individualized attention and accommodations.
Supervise students during class activities, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Assist in maintaining classroom order and discipline, following school policies.
Help with classroom management, transitions, and student behavior guidance.
Provide support during testing, assessments, and other classroom activities.
Assist in recording student attendance, grades, and other administrative tasks.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement lesson plans and educational activities.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Participate in professional development and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Teacher Assistant or in a related educational role is preferred.
Passion for working with students and supporting their learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Understanding of classroom management and behavior guidance techniques.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in education is a plus.
