We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our operations team. The Storekeeper will play a vital role in managing inventory, maintaining the storeroom, and ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of materials or products.
Verify the accuracy of received items and reconcile with purchase orders.
Properly label, categorize, and store items in the designated storage areas.
Keep accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using inventory management software.
Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstock situations.
Conduct regular physical counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment.
Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring they are correctly labeled.
Assist in the disposal of damaged or obsolete items following company procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized storeroom environment.
Ensure compliance with safety and security guidelines for stored items.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
Previous experience as a Storekeeper or in a related role is preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
