The System Administrator will be responsible for installing and configuring end- user systems, as well as managing the onboarding and offboarding of employees. They will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting OS drivers and patch installations, as well as troubleshooting any issues with Windows 7, 10, and Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, and other authorized desktop applications. They will also be responsible for installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting printers, computer hardware, and other authorized peripheral equipment.
In addition, the System Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting routers, Wi- Fi routers, switches, and Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling in both LAN and WAN environments. They will also perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral equipment, as well as remedial repairs when needed. They will customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards, and will manage and maintain all IT assets such as desktops, servers, LAN and WAN, leased line circuits. They will also coordinate with ISPs and vendors to resolve issues as needed.
To be considered for this role, candidates should hold an ITIL Foundation Certification, and have a degree or diploma in any stream. They should have strong asset management, technical services, maintenance and repair skills, as well as hardware and networking troubleshooting skills. A Microsoft Certified Professional certification is also preferred.
