A commis / ice cream maker is responsible for producing ice cream/popsicles, operating, cleaning and providing general maintenance and being able to fulfill commis duties. These functions include multiple duties and responsibilities that are directly or indirectly linked to the safest production of the highest quality products possible.
Core Duties
Commis experience
Production of popsicles / ice cream
Maintain a clean and sanitized production area
Participate fully with the team: listen, communicate, teach, share knowledge, give feedback, support other team members, and be willing to work until the job is completed.
Equipment setup and daily fresh fruits production
Assist with making, packing, and labelling ice cream / popsicles
Operate as a business unit and understand quality, cost, downtime, safety, and efficiency
Consistently demonstrate safe work behaviours and actively support company safety goals
Follow the SOP (standard operating procedures)
Monitor the equipment, freezers and chillers to ensure that the product is kept in optimal temperature and storage conditions.
