Maldives Islamic Bank PLC. (“MIB” or “the Bank”) is the first and only fully Shariah compliant bank in the Maldives. It is a collaboration between Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), the private sector arm of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) and the Government of Maldives. The Bank is pleased to open the invitation for local and foreign individuals to apply for the position of Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of the Bank, to be posted at the Bank’s Head Office in Male’ Maldives.
Eligibility Criteria
* Must be a career banker having experience of minimum 20 (Twenty) years of Banking, including 05 (Five) years of experience in Islamic Banking;
* Should have served a minimum of 05 years at a senior level i.e. Group Head of Financial/Business line in a Bank or C-Suite level (on the closing date of the advertisement) and possesses expertise and skill set to undertake responsibilities of the position effectively and prudently;
* Should have minimum qualification of Graduation or equivalent in the discipline of Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration and related discipline; and.
* Preference may be given to the candidates who possess prior exposure and professional expertise in the following fields:
* Commercial and Corporate Banking
* Digital Banking, Information Technology and Alternative Distribution Channels.
* Operational Risk Management
* Credit Risk exposure
* Fintech
