Key Responsibilities The job of a Data Engineer at NTE India comes with a lot of responsibility and lots of fun. Your responsibilities at the India Tech Hub include:
Provides technical support and completes project tasks for all server and infrastructure operating systems, software implementations, and projects. Supports Microsoft O365/Azure Active Directory, granting access to systems and cloud applications, and maintains end point enrollment and updates with Microsoft Intune Develops and maintains daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes. Applies patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrades administrative tools and utilities. Configures or adds new services as necessary to maintain security levels. Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. Assists in the development of the strategic positioning of information systems network plans within the Company environment. Contributes to and maintains operational, configuration, or other procedures according to Company standards. Performs periodic performance reporting to support and forecast capacity planning. Supports and works with internal business partners to evaluate needs to recommend and implement solutions. Works with Tier 1 support personnel to resolve issues. Mentors Tier 1 and 2 support personnel. Works with security team to establish and maintain an appropriate level of application and server security. Works with manager to develop, maintain, and update system auditing procedures to protect data integrity, security and reliability. Identifies and maintains documentation for all system hardware, system configuration, application configuration and licensing information. Works with manager to evaluate, identify, and recommend improvements in new software/hardware technology based on industry trends. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach. Performs related work as apparent or assigned. Required Skills.
Must be a self-starter and proactive individual Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 2 years of related IT experience. Certifications in data center and/or cloud platforms a plus. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others. Microsoft certifications a plus. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, Intune. experience with Microsoft SCCM a plus. experience supporting Windows server (all versions) and Active Directory domain architecture. experience with Linux server OS (Red Hat). Knowledge and experience working with virtualization and varied virtualization platforms. Working knowledge and experience working with hyper converged technologies. experience with Nutanix a plus. Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, standards, and the OSI model. Demonstrated ability to keep up-to-date on new software/hardware technology and other advancements relating to industry trends. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a Windows Server environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver solutions according to project schedules. Demonstrated strong customer service orientation. Knowledge of company policies and procedures as they relate to security and compliance (PCI/HIPAA). Occasional travel required for implementations, migrations or upgrades at remote sites. Ability to be on call evenings, weekends and holidays.
