The Associate UX Research will be responsible for managing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research to help Giant Eagle develop a deep understanding of its customers wants, pain points, needs, and behaviors. This research will inform customer-centric experiences that span across digital and physical touchpoints. By facilitating rich two-way dialogue with our guests (ethnographies, surveys, interviews, ideation), this individual will provide the Customer experience team with beyond the obvious insights and findings. These outputs will be used to both prioritize areas of opportunity within existing flows and inform how future experiences are architected and implemented. This role requires equal parts analysis, curiosity, and creativity. Develop and execute customer research studies deploying an array of qualitative and quantitative research methods Recommend research method(s) based on customer and business objectives Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (empathy interviews, ethnographies and/or contextual inquiries, diary studies, surveys, usability testing, persona development, etc.) to answer guiding customer and business questions Synthesize and develop beyond the obvious insights that can inform experience, product, and service design across the omnichannel journey Lead and facilitate user research across multiple methods including observational research, user/customer interviews, usability testing, focus groups, and other research methods Improve the usability and desirability of our products in collaboration with UX Designers, Design Strategists, Product Managers, Software Developers, and other Stakeholders Evangelize the importance of design research and educate partner teams on research methods to help them integrate customer insight into their business decisions and design life cycle Present and communicate research and analysis clearly and effectively to various stakeholders Ensure all research projects are delivered at the highest quality with statistical significance top-of-mind. Strong background in Human Centered Design principles Background in qualitative and quantitate user research with ability to create, facilitate, and analyze research Boundless curiosity met with a deep sense of customer empathy Familiarity with leading UX frameworks and software Ability to lead ideation and design sessions with business and technology partners Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal 3 + Years of Research experience Education and Training Bachelors degree (preferably in research, design Human-Computer Interaction, or psychology) Primary Job Responsibilities.
