Responsibilities As a Lead Node.js API Engineer, you\'ll design and develop responsive, efficient, re-usable applications that are used by end customers, store personnel and business users. You will be fully utilizing AWS with services such as Cloud Formation Templates, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway (Apigee), and many more. You\'ll be responsible for building best practices, define processes, working with multiple stake holders, ensure top quality of the product. Required Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to understand business requirements and translate into technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with code versioning tools - Git (Gitlab). Exposure to retail industry, experience with e-commerce applications. Overall 7 + years of development experience.
- 5 + Years of experience designing, developing REST APIs using Node.js.
- 5 + Years of experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- 5 + Years of experience with large microservice-based architectures, container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes/Amazon EKS, AWS kinesis streams, S3 buckets.
- experience building lambda functions with Node.js.
- experience troubleshooting APIs using AWS Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail or similar tools.
- Experienced with Java Script frameworks like Express.js, Socket.io, Nest.js, Sails.js.
- Deep understanding of User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
- experience with CICD pipelines.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Understanding of Type Script and the latest ECMAScript standards.
