Our Team
We are looking for passionate Engineers to build our next generation replenishment platforms for Walmart. Optimal replenishment will help drive down the inventory days of supply and reduce waste for perishable grocery – savings measured in billions of dollars – while improving our in stocks. Effectively predicting demand involves learning from past sales and modelling the effects price, promotions, store placements, local events, weather etc. Doing this a Walmart scale makes it one of the largest and most challenging problems of its kind in the world while also being the most impactful. Your Opportunity
As part of the Replenishment team @Walmart Labs, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest engineers/architects/data scientist and will have the opportunity to solve one of the most critical problems for Walmart.
Your Responsibility
· Write efficient and quality code that can work @ Walmart scale.
· Adopt Walmart’s quality standards and develop and recommend process standards and best practices across the retail industry.
· Research, learn and adapt new technologies to solve problems and improve existing solutions.
· Participate in events to build innovative solutions.
· Adhere to company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Your Qualifications
· B.E/B.Tech from a reputed institution
· Minimum of 3 years of Java experience
· Basic understanding of Spring Framework.
· Ability to translate design into code.
· Exposure to implementing various mathematical optimization techniques in Java will be a plus.
· Exposure to concepts of operations research (OR) and implementing them in Java will be a plus.
· Good understanding of collections, concurrency and object oriented concepts.
· Good understanding of microservices concepts.
· Understanding of NoSQL systems such as Elastic Search or Solr will be a plus.
· Should be a fast learner and quickly adapt to new technologies.
· Prefer individuals with high ownership and commitment.
