Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Business, Product Management and Product Development teams in executing product visions and strategies.
• Good interpersonal, facilitation and consensus building skills. Ability to acquire, partnership decisions and build trust internally and externally. Communicate decisive and persuasively with management and peers.
• Develop and implement test cases, Scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated). Ensure the team is focusing on automation along with manual testing. The desire to drive continuous learning about emerging technologies/industry trends and best approach. Evaluate and prototype potential technologies and overall solutions for implementations.
• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that industry standard methodologies and practices are followed.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA talent internally and externally.
• While leading QA practices being the core responsibility, you have the skill sets required to shoulder additional responsibilities of a Project Manager / Scrum Master, as and when required.
• You guide the team for speed, safe and quality deliverables.
• Conduct effective reviews.
• Coach and groom talent in soft-skills, processes, quality engineering.
• Play proactive role to bake in highest standards of quality in release deliverables.
• You take the lead and build a community of Center of Excellence in Quality Engineering.
• You can represent the company in meet-ups and conferences talking about the core quality engineering practices using specific tools in play.
• Driving the adoption of the best practices to influence teams for good.
• You can tackle tough stakeholders, groom development teams to be business centric taking into account the idiosyncrasies of the team.
• You are expected to continuously look for opportunities to improve the system you are operating in.
• Engineering Leader will also be responsible for managing and coaching assigned direct reports What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• BS/MS degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field.
• At least 8 years of experience in playing a critical part in quality engineering.
• At least 5 years experience as Quality Assurance Manager managing a team of QA engineers.
• Rest Assured automation framework and Java knowledge.
• You have solid experience working within Agile environments: Scrum or Kanban.
• Your experience of working in product companies is a definitive plus.
• You are good at influencing and mentoring your team to level-up their core skills and soft skills.
• You ideally have the awareness of (or even better the experience in) the pros and cons for a variety of test automation frameworks like Selenium Webdriver, Cypress, Play Wright, etc.
• You are an expert in some or ideally all of the following things:
O Test Automation Frameworks: Selenium Webdriver, Cypress, Play Wright, Detox etc.
O CICD Automation preferably in Git Lab
O Agile software development practices.
O Writing SQL queries.
O Mobile: React Native ecosystem test tools like Appium, Detox.
O API Testing with tools like Postman, SoapUI, etc.
O Cloud: AWS, GCP, etc.
• You wouldn\'t mind picking up the right tool for the right thing at the right time.
• You have set-up CICD pipelines from scratch and have the know-how of working with various stakeholders in setting right expectations and building trust.
• Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Additionally, candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.
• Strong problem solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration.
• Understanding and focus on business outcomes.
• Strong leadership skills
