We are looking for someone who is a passionate technologist, with a focus on building highly scalable, available, resilient, intelligent, and back end systems supporting rich features for our premier global airline.
As a member of the Service Recovery Team, you will be supporting Delta’s Customer Insight systems by building, maintaining, and supporting the applications the business teams use to track passengers through the system on the travel journey. These applications allow the business teams to focus on a single passenger, a group of passengers or high valued passengers to address any issues they could be currently having in their travel experience.
This position requires a person to work with limited supervision from broad specifications to develop or modify complex software programming applications in the airline industry.
Your responsibilities in this role will include.
- The role is required to build software applications that provide insight into Compensation Engine at Delta, particularly more focused on Automation of Refunds.
- Establish a culture of software craftsmanship best practices, including Test Driving and Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
- Engage in Agile software development activities, including Sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and hackathons.
- Well versed with software architectural patterns.
- Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers\' business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is high.
- Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.
- Consult within project team and other Delta teams, with outside vendors or consultants to ensure project or product integrity.

- The Senior Developer position requires a BS/MS degree in a technical or scientific field.
- 3 Or more years of experience in Java application development.
- 3 Or more years of experience with PaaS environment.
- 3 Or more years of experience with Jenkins, Ansible.
- 3 Or more years of experience with Spring.
- 3 Or more years of experience with Jboss.
- 3 Or more years of experience with APIs.
- 3 Or more years of experience with Rest Calls.
- 3 Or more years of experience with Oracle.
- 1 Or more years of experience with AWS (+)
- 3 Or more years of experience with Angular.
- 3 Or more years of experience in roles that required strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- 3 Or more years of experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 2 Or more years of experience with BDD, TDD , Automation , Agile, and Dev Ops.(++)
- Candidate must be solutions oriented using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probing all sources for answers.
- Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Additionally, candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.
- Finally, candidate must be reliable, produce quality work, take pride and ownership in their work with high level of professionalism, passion, and a sense of urgency to make things happen.
