A day in the life:
· Work collaboratively with internal and external resources throughout the project life cycle to ensure system modifications meet business needs.
· Develop, maintain and deliver desirable, feasible, viable, sustainable features to end-users.
· Conduct the required engineering work to support the Sprint goals.
· Support production issues as relate to the application functionality and integration points.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics/Mathematics, Software Engineering or equivalent is required.
· Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal + non-verbal)
· Proficient in Python, EMR, Github,
· Proven experience in managing data warehouses and ETL pipelines (Min. 4 years)
· 3 + Years of experience with for Data Science.
· Strong knowledge of optimization, classification, clustering and other Machine Learning technologies and ML Ops. (model registry, model deployment)
· experience building the Time Series model using ML technologies and Statistics methods(preferred)
· Familiarity with AWS services such as Sagemaker, Step Function, ECS, Lambdas etc.
· Solid scripting capability for analysis and reporting ( Strong SQL )
· Strong problem-solving skills (Statistics required for data modeling)
· Strong analytical skills to support BAs.
· Ability to work as a back-end data engineer (SQL/Python/PySpark)
· Familiarity with Dev Ops practices like automated delivery pipeline (version control with Github)
· Must have: Working experience in dealing with big data platforms and data manipulation.
· Must have: Working experience with cloud platforms namely AWS or Azure.
· Must Have: experience with AWS ETL Platforms ( Glue / Athena / EMR ), Amazon Redshift.
· Bonus : Retail experience (fashion retail experience would be ideal)
