The role you’d play:
- Act as a strategic partner based in our Bangalore office to shape, implement and review the people strategy to support our ambitious plan for growth.
- Lead full spectrum of the Human Resources and Facilities Function for India, ensuring service delivery is of the highest quality, and in line with business plans and the global Human Resources strategy.
- Ensure the business is compliant on core employment legislation and every manager is fully informed and consistent in their application of key people management practices.
- Provide Human Resources and leadership guidance, in line with business goals, to encourage and cultivate Pentland culture to the wider team in India.
- Locally execute regional and global Human Resources initiatives, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, internal communications, ER and reward.
- Manage the recruitment process and actively participate in the interview process for mid-to-senior level roles.
- Facilitate effective leadership communication that builds engagement and capability across the team to create an environment for people to thrive.
- Handle sensitive ER situations in a way that supports the Pentland values and commercial requirements.
- Assess and advise on the people impact and legislative considerations of any changes to business.
- Give insights on best practice of reward practice in India to ensure we have the competitive remuneration to retain talents.
- Take responsibility for office / workplace management, to ensure an efficient, welcoming and safe workplace for our India Bangalore team.
What you need to have:
- Strong experience of partnering and collaborating at a senior Human Resources level in a commercial environment.
- Strategic mind-set and commercial focus with a demonstrated ability to interpret business goals into robust people strategies and plan, identifying initiatives to deliver on it.
- High-level leadership, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant employment law expertise with the ability to apply this to a range of complex and often senior situations with a flexible, commercial and pragmatic approach.
- Keen interest in Human Resources analytics, using quantitative and qualitative data to recognize trends and develop recommendations based on data analysis.
- Excellent networker with strong multiple stakeholder management flair in a complex matrix organisation.
- Great people management skills, with proven ability to build and nurture a high-performing Human Resources team.
