Agile Coach Japanese Multinational Commerce Retailer 15 Years

Summary:
This role involves someone with deep background in coaching and developing people and teams; influencing behavior change; and establishing sustainability through cultural change. The candidate must be able to understand the culture and business functioning of Rakuten India and adopt Agile practices accordingly. Must join Rakuten India full-time and commit to the duration it will take for Agile transformation of all teams.
Required:
- Agile certificates (CSM, SaFE and Agile Coach at a minimum)
- experience coaching Agile teams across business and technology; aligning teams with business KPI’s to drive value.
- Previous Agile transformation experience of a mid-sized organization.
- Mastery of the following, in order to teach and coach team members:
- Agile ceremonies such as planning sessions and daily stand-ups.
- How to effectively utilize Agile artifacts such as product backlogs.
- Product activities such as: Framing and discovery; defining business KPIs; Product vision; User story mapping and other activities.
- Agile tools
- Relevant documentation
- Metrics definition and measurement - to measure incremental uptake of Agile coaching, specific and tailored to the needs of each team.
- Multi-stakeholder management
- Collaborative decision-making
- Continuous feedback
Candidate must be able to do the following:
- Understand and align to organizational priorities - i.e, why teams must be Agile.
- Provide needed inputs to create a customized Agile Framework for adoption across all Rakuten India departments, which are in different stages of Agile maturity.
- Create approach and execution roadmap for complete Agile transformation of all departments/ teams.
- Enable the organization\'s new way of working through hands-on coaching of Pilot teams; including technology and business participants at all levels of the organization.
- Engage with teams and coach them through a journey of Agile adoption over 1-3 months. Take immature Agile teams and teach the skills and practices to develop self-sufficiency and maturity.
- Coach teams in effective stakeholder management.
- Perform maturity assessments to base-line team performance and identify opportunities for improvement, with meaningful and relevant metrics.
- Identify and raise challenges and obstacles and work collaboratively with the Agile Center of Excellence and Agile Champions to resolve them.
- Anticipate and resolve or escalate potential blockers; e.g.; resource constraints or skill gaps; that prevent the team from doing its best work.
- Provide ongoing training and resources to equip team members and Agile Champions with practices to enhance their Agile maturity.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement within each team.
- Participate in Agile Coach community groups to share best practices and ways of working.

- Intellectually curious and love learning new skills and capabilities; e.g.; Agile principles.
- Courageous and will be comfortable challenging, advising, and coaching Product Owners, Agile Champions and Senior Leadership.
