Must be located within UAE and available immediately.
CPA qualified
Minimum 5 years experience, especially in a Project oriented company.
Has supervised a small Accounts team before.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong MS Office skills particularly in MS Excel.
Organised, detail-orientated and accurate.
Aware of and focused on deadlines
Ability to build relationships across all levels inside (senior management, heads of departments, project managers, salesmen) and outside (banks and auditors) the organisation.
Professional demeanour and highly ethical.
Knowledge of Sage 50, Sage Accounting, Sage One and Microsoft Dynamics 365
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting
Preparation of monthly Financial Reports – balance sheet, P and L, Project Profit Reports, etc.
Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions.
Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
Variance analysis commentary on P and L
Prepare quarterly VAT submission
Assist with the annual audit
Assist with annual budget planning
Sister concerns
End to end bookkeeping for our smaller sister concern; including but not limited to AP, AR, banking, VAT and admin.
Other
Supervise the day to day operation of the accounts team consisting of 2 Accounts Assistants.
Oversee payroll processing
Assist with cash flow forecasting
Assist with annual renewal of employee medical and business insurances.
Actively supporting and promote the standards, policies and procedures of the company.
Other adhoc duties as they arise
Head of Accounts will supervise a small team consisting of 2 Accounts Assistants and will report to the Group Financial Controller.
Due to COVID, interviews will take place over Microsoft Teams Video Conference with the Group Financial Controller.
