We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to join our educational team. The Teacher Assistant will provide support to classroom teachers, assist in instructional activities, and help create a positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
Support students in their learning by providing individualized attention and assistance.
Help maintain classroom order and discipline, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Assist in preparing teaching materials and setting up equipment for lessons and activities.
Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and lunchtime.
Help with grading, record-keeping, and organizing educational resources.
Collaborate with teachers to address individual student needs and behavioral issues.
Assist in implementing behavior management strategies and intervention plans.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education or related field is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with students effectively.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to support the schools mission and adhere to its policies and procedures.
