Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Scan and ring up customer purchases accurately using the POS system.

Handle cash transactions, process credit and debit card payments.

Issue receipts and provide customers with accurate change.

Assist customers with inquiries and product information.

Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.

Bag items and ensure they are packed securely.

Monitor and manage the cash drawer throughout the shift.

Collaborate with other staff members to address customer needs.

Follow cash handling procedures and security guidelines.

Upsell products or promotions at the checkout.

Help with restocking shelves and maintaining product displays.

Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with policies.

Adhere to company policies and standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous cashier or customer service experience is advantageous.

Strong numerical skills for accurate transaction handling.

Basic computer skills for operating the POS system.

Attention to detail in handling cash and transactions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
