What You\'ll Do:
- We are looking for foundational backend engineers to bootstrap the global participation engineering team; engineers who can work on all layers of the Twitter stack including micro services, networking stack and the core infrastructure under the hood to deliver product features that drive new user adoption as well as ensure retention for existing Twitter users.
- Work with all cross functional stakeholders including researchers, designers, data scientists, product managers, and engineers to understand and define product requirements and roadmaps.
- Technically lead one or more teams to deliver features that help grow Twitters international user base and activity.
- Lead by example in terms of best engineering practices including writing maintainable and extensible code with high quality tests and documentation.
- Ability to iterate and experiment consistently while shipping high quality product features with an eye on quality, reliability and engineering excellence.
- Be the recruiting champion and exemplary site citizen for Twitter globally as well as lead the upcoming growth of Twitters Bangalore site. Who You Are:

- You have prior leadership experience as a tech lead/architect with successful delivery of multiple products across your career. Qualifications.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or other technical disciplines with 10 + years of industry experience.
- experience in building and operating distributed backend systems in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong design and architecture skills.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background.
- Model of software engineering best practices, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Prior leadership experience as technical lead/architect is a must-have.
