Shipping Coordinator Vacancy in Dubai

Ring for a reputed Relocation company.

Job responsibilities of Shipping Coordinator are to prepare shipping documentation, maintain records, liaise lines with liners, international shipping agents and coordinate with customers.

Key duties/responsibilities of Shipping Coordinator:

1. Prepare Export / Import related shipping documentation, maintain records and coordinate for shipment. Knowledge of following will be a definite advantage:
• Jebel Ali Customs documentation
2. Lead communications within the Shipping/Receiving area. Schedule and Coordinate with freight forwarders.
3. Ensure freight forwarders are selected based on company objectives for cost and delivery.
4. Maintain Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request.
5. Provide guidance to others within the Shipping/Receiving area.
6. Communicate status of Shipping/Receiving activities to appropriate personnel within the organization.
7. Review open customer orders, create pick lists, coordinate with warehouse for smooth operation to efficiently meet the customers’ shipping schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates.
8. Coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
9. Handling all modes of transport. Air, Sea and Land.
10. Communicate shipping volumes and priorities closely with the Warehouse in charge and 3rd party warehouses to optimize available resources.
11. Shop for rates for prepaid shipments to ensure that we are getting the best possible freight rates.
12. Review and audit freight bills for billing accuracy.
13. Formally document new or changed procedures. Identify who requires training and execute training if needed.
14. Maintain knowledge of current international import/export regulatory requirements. Update applicable standard operating procedures as necessary.
15. Effectively lead cross-functional root cause and corrective action to resolve customer-related shipping issues.
16 Preparation of MIS reports like Logistics Cost report, KPI report.
17. Stock control, stock taking and necessary stock adjustments.
18. Coordinate with destination agents and ensure best services and results are achieved.
19. Prepare quotations.
20. Follow up with customers on continuous basis to close the deals.

• Minimum 2 years experience.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office suite.
• experience with international shipping, customs requirements.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
