Position: Business Development & Strategy Manager

Role & requirements:
- Support company in achieving its growth aspirations by facilitating the penetration of new clients in new sectors and geographies.
- Support Head of Business Development & Strategy and CEO in analysis and recommendations for companies’ geographical/sectorial strategy, competitive landscape assessment, services offerings strategy, and go to market strategy.
- Articulate the strategy in terms of concrete target companies and revenue potential and respective tailored penetration game plan.
- Prospect, research, and qualify new leads within target sectors/geographies and opportunities within existing clients before passing them to the sales team to further develop and close.
- Find through research (online, phone calls, networks) key info on potential clients – e.g. business activities, size, names/contacts of key decision makers.
- Monitor execution of weekly/daily sales plans and sales activities (e.g. client meetings, client calls, quality of proposals, etc.)
- Keep detailed records of business development and sales activities – e.g. email communication, notes of meetings, next steps, etc – and maintain an up-to-date CRM and sales management system.
- Facilitate daily/weekly sales team huddles to ensure progress and address issues and roadblocks.
- Facilitate and assist in leadership sales performance reviews.
- Develop general marketing material (e.g. website content, white papers, demos).
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline for continued growth and sales success.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Action oriented, self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and drive to hit numbers.
- Doesn’t shy out or hesitate in overcoming company internal resistance and push back. Is someone who gets things done.
- Good research skills – online, various databases of companies, etc.
- Resourcefulness, confidence, and tenacity to ‘knock on doors’ and persevere to get to the needed info or connect with the relevant person at the potential client.
- Clear and crisp verbal and written communication.
- High attention to details and comfort with numbers, analysis, and excel tools.
- High level of confidence and ability to engage with mid and senior level management to discuss issues and investigation findings, request clarifications/explanations for non-performance and deviations from targets.
- Preferably, strong familiarity with certain key markets (e.g. UAE, rest of GCC, East Africa, and various players in the different service industries (banking, government services, telco, e-commerce, automotive, hospitality, airlines, utilities, etc.) and contacts within these companies to ease obtaining info and getting introductions to decision makers (procurement heads, customer care heads, C-level executives, etc.)
- BSc degree, preferably in business (marketing, etc).
- Strong command of English. French, Spanish, and Arabic are highly desirable.
- 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
