As Safety Officer on the project, I was tasked with the Safety and Environmental issues within the period and reported directly to the Team Leader.
Some major projects undertaken within the period from concept development through design and construction stages include heavy municipal works. This involves relocation of sewerage, water, electricity and telephone lines and plant, construction of storm drains, provision of public transport facilities and parking and access to markets among others.
I was actively involved in the day to day running of the project by ensuring that logistics for field work were available, collation of daily field outputs and general supervisory roles.
