Accountant General Vacancy in Dubai

Management and Analysis of financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the company including cash flow management.
1.1. Prepare accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
1.2. Compute local taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
1.3. Analyze costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to ensure compliance to the company policy.
1.4. Report to finance manager daily, and periodically regarding the finances of company.
1.5. Based on chart of accounts, record and assign entries to proper accounts.
1.6. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs locally.
1.7. Implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
1.8. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping.
1.9. Survey operations to ensure furtherance of control and accounting records and to recommend and maintain solutions to financial problems.
1.10. Prepare and get approval of compensation, employee health care benefits, accounting and data processing systems.
1.11. Appraise, evaluate, and record stock inventory, asset and equipment.
1.12. Maintain and examine the records of government agencies.
1.13. Prepare monthly financial statements and submit the accounts to Finance Manager.
1.14. Reconcile Debtors and Creditors accounts based on scheduled agreement and/or as required.
1.15. Prepare daily cash position of the company and distribute to all concerned.
1.16. Follow-up daily sales reports and confirm same is deposited to bank; analyse any discrepancies and take urgent actions.
1.17. Follow-up and manage petty cash payments of office and warehouses.
1.18. Prepare the necessary documentation for the collection of import documents from the concerned banks and ensure that foreign transfers are made in accordance with the relevant policies of the company on timely basis.
1.19. Monitor the cost sheets and prices to ensure that goods are sold as per the agreed margin.
1.20. Follow-up bank facilities and the related expenses and record same on timely basis.
1.21. Maintains bank accounts and controls the check -books received from banks securely; and ensure proper issuance of checks.
1.22. Prepare bank reconciliations and dispatch all bank statements to Finance Manager.
1.23. Ensure that all payments (local and international) are supplemented with relevant vouchers and receipts; and they have the required approval of the concerned in accordance with company policy.
1.24. Ensures that a fixed assets register is maintained and all company fixed assets are recorded appropriately with their relevant depreciation.
1.25. Maintains proper financial archives system.
1.26. Coordinates, Monitors and participates in the physical inventory of stock and assets.
1.27. Performs any related tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.

Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Financial Management related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience with knowledge base in international purchases in commodity, general supplies and food stuff,
• experience in companies trading in the East and West African Markets (including Angola, Juba, Uganda, Zambia, Congo, etc..) on cross-border shipments
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills in English and Knowledge of Arabic an advantage.
• Must have excellent time management, organization, problem solving skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines;
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management and personnel
• Must demonstrate high level skills with Microsoft Office - Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Tally, Quickbooks, Peachtree, SAP
