Accounts Supervisor Finance Temporary Vacancy 3 6 Months in Dubai

Reports to: Senior Manager Financial Control

Job Role: To supervise the financial accounts section of the Finance Department ensuring accuracy and timely production of management accounts.

Focus: Ensuring timely provision of accurate management accounts on a monthly basis so that management have regular up to date information on financial performance and financial status enabling informed decisions to be made. Supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger Accountants to ensure quality and timeliness of work. Facilitating the external audit process.

Key Relationships: The person should liaise with External Auditors Audit Manager and Audit Assistants, Suppliers Accounts Departments (limited), Customers Accounts Departments (limited) and Saudi Industrial Development Fund officials in addition to the in house members of Finance department, Sales Managers, Procurement Section Heads, All other Departments Section Heads.

Key Accountabilities: To ensure flow of customer receipts in line with projections by supervising Accounts Receivable, checking the work flow and cash receipts against invoices and advance payments as per agreed terms, promptly notifying Sales of late payments and reviewing the weekly and monthly aged debtor analysis. To ensure supplier payments are made in an appropriate and timely manner in accordance with agreed terms by supervising Accounts Payable and checking proposed payments and supporting documents prior to submission for payment approvals. To avoid excess inventory by checking raw materials invoices for deviation (beyond agreed tolerances) in raw materials quantities received on individual shipments against quantities ordered and notifying Procurement of any such deviation for their approval prior to payment. To facilitate customs clearances for raw materials shipments by prompt review/checking of customs clearance invoices and notifying Procurement. To ensure accuracy of reporting by supervising General Ledger work and monitoring allocation of costs including advances paid to suppliers and treatment as an expense or as fixed asset (monthly review with Procurement). To enable prompt production of monthly management accounts by ensuring that each section meets its deadlines for the month end closing. To generate financial reports (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) from the system and preparing modified reports in accordance with management reporting requirements. To facilitate the provision of long term credit facilities from the Saudi Industrial Development Fund in relation to industrial expansion projects by providing information for Saudi Industrial Development Fund submissions/applications. To ensure management receive accurate costing information (Finished Goods cost per machine/cost per unit) by checking reports generated through bespoke module within the system as requested on an adhoc basis. To facilitate and oversee the annual external audit by liaising with the external audit manager and supporting the Financial Accountant throughout the audit process. To lead staff team ensuring a high emphasis is placed on accurate and timely accounting and signing off quarterly evaluations and ensuring that good supervision is provided at all levels. To ensure that; annual leave, sickness, capability and disciplinary matters within the Finance team are dealt with in accordance with company policy.

Goals, Targets and Standards: Financial reports are produced in accordance with agreed frequencies
and timescales. Payments to suppliers are completed in line with agreed time frame. Monitoring of customer payments and prompt notification of late payments to Sales External audit results issues raised/ resolved.

Key Job Authorities and Dimensions (Expenditure/Hiring authorities, total budget resp., no. of staff etc.): Supervision of Financial Accounts team of 8.

Qualification and Experience Prerequisites:
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Financial Management or Commerce with 7 years’ experience in accounts supervisory role in manufacturing environment (3 years’ experience if postgraduate)

Competences and skills: Good people skills, Good communication and presentation skills, Analytical and disciplined approach, Able to work to deadlines, MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint proficient, English and Arabic speaking.
