• Charged with conducting site safety induction to both staff & contractors, safety meetings, tool box talks, distributing PPEs, monitoring HSE compliance on site (site safety supervision) and the entire company’s safety.
• Managing medical facilities and all safety equipment.

IV. QHSE Manager.
PERENCO, Wouri, Douala Cameroon.
Period: September 2013 – August 2014 (1 year)
Duties & Responsibilities :
• Plans, prioritizes, allocates and supervises duties of subordinates involved in QHSE
activities to maintain standards and project specifics QHSE management system,
international standards, contract and legislative requirements are implemented.
• Ensures the review of scope of work completed to identify trends & possible exposure to discrepancies.
• Issues reports on possible trends and discrepancies, and identifies areas of concern.
• Recommends mitigation measures & corrective actions.

• Make HSE plans, risk assessment and communicates to the workers on the importance of having JSA meeting before the jobs.
• Issue and controls the work permits system base on the activities at the site.
• Conducts inspection for lifting gear, hygiene inspections, and verification of safe storage for dangerous chemicals at the site.
• Interfaces with all Sub-contractors to make sure they meet all safety requirements specified in their contract.

• Witness all critical lift to make sure the workers have JSA and critical lift plan for such operation to be carried out at site.

• Carried out monthly Fire extinguisher, and Breathing apparatus inspection base on HSE schedule request.
• Trained the workers on manual handling and basic lifting procedures for safe work practice.

• Advises Sub-contractors on job safety requirements prior to work commencement.
• Conducts emergency drills and safety induction for new personnel coming to the rig site for the first time.
