BP is having 5 different oracle 10gR2 databases running on Solaris 8 platform. Production database is running on cluster fail-over mechanism under active-passive mode using veritas volume manager. A data guard (physical standby) setup is also configured between Production and DR sites. Recently upgraded the oracle database from Oracle 9iR2 to Oracle 10gR2 with the latest interim & CPU (Critical Patch Upgrade) Oracle Patches. Ø Provide availability of database as per SLA. # 02 Title : UTI Investor Call Centre Role : Database Architect Client : UTI Mutual Fund, Mumbai Duration : April ’ 2007 to June’ 2007 Database : Oracle 10gR2 (RAC) Hardware : AIX Operating System : IBM-AIX Description : UTI Mutual Fund (UTIMF), India was having 4 registrars who were providing investor services for UTIMF schemes. UTIMF had decided to setup a call center for providing services to their customer over phone through a centralized database system. The System had multi-tier architecture with the front end in Java and Oracle 10gR2 RAC with two nodes as backend. Responsibilities: Ø Database Architecture study for all four Registrars. Ø Designing of De-Dup Logic for consolidating the investor’s profile. Ø Co-ordination with other departments for understanding their requirements. Ø Co-ordination with Developers for better designing. Ø DB related support to developers, testers etc. # 03 Title : Generic Software Role : Oracle DBA Client : UTI-TSL, Central Data Centre, Belapur, Navi Mumbai Duration : October ’ 2003 to April’ 2007 Database : ORACLE 8i Hardware : Sun Fire 6800 Server Operating System : Sun Solaris 8 Description : Unit Trust of India (UTI) was in need of a centralized Investor Management System to take care of its day-to-day operations. Generic Software (GS) has been developed by TCS to meet this requirement based on joint study conducted by Mc Kinsey & Co. and TCS. This system was designed to take care of sales and after sales services of UTI. The system had multi-tier architecture with the front end in Java and Oracle 8i as the backend on Solaris 8. Tuxedo 6.5 along with JOLT 1.2 is to serve as the middle ware. UTI Generic System was one of the largest applications in the country with database size of more than 1.0 Terra Byte. This system was implemented to provide centralized service for all kind of schemes. This system used to provide service for 50 different schemes through one application.
