Summary of the Duties in the P.A’s Office
Job title: Principal Administrative officer
Reports to: Provincial Administrator Matabeland North (Zimbabwe)
Responsibilities:
Writing of weekly, monthly and annual development reports with much emphasis on poverty reduction, the land reform programme, HIV/ AIDS programme management, youth and women’s projects, provincial food security and civil protection issues.
Writing of situational reports for the provincial Governor for further submission to local government head office.
Responding to all issues from councils and giving advice or comments in accordance with the provisions of the relevant council acts.
Proffer policy advice to local authorities through the District Administrators
Provide appropriate linkages between the councils and the general public and Non governmental organizations and also ensure that queries directed to the office of the Provincial Administrator are attended to.
Administration of the Ndebele traditional leader’s functions at Provincial level and upholding the dignity of the institute of chieftainship.
Career plans: - Doing a PhD in sociological and HIV/AIDS related issues.
